Spreading the Gospel
What greater honor could be given us as a church than to know that we are engaged in the work Christ set before us to do, and that we are actually accomplishing the work? Our Lord is good all the time! Upon reviewing our attendance in the auditorium as well as in the parking lot, then adding to those, the numbers who watch both our Sunday morning service and our Wednesday evening service on Facebook, then adding the estimated number of people who watch the Wednesday service o
Happy Thanksgiving!
This year Thanksgiving will be a lot different from others for most of us. For the first time in around 70 years my family has decided to cancel our annual get-together and meal. Covid-19 has spiked to the point that hardly anyone doesn't know someone who has now died from this terrible plague. It seems unspeakable when we think that this disease is decimating our economy and so far, has killed more than 260,000 of our citizens here in the United States alone. It is very sad.
Covid-19
As we approach Thanksgiving, our family may be like yours in that we are trying to decide whether or not to meet for our annual Thanksgiving meal. If we miss it this year, it will be the first time we've not had a Thanksgiving family meal in nearly sixty years. In other words, our family takes these things pretty seriously. But that being said, as Christians, we have One to whom we can go to help us with our sorrows. We reach back into our memories for a glimmer of hope from the Lord. It is such a good thing to know the Scriptures so we may have that help
Honey Boo Boo is Thin!
I thought that would get your attention! Isn't it funny what we read or look at during a day? That headline was in the World News Report today. I'm glad it was about Honey Boo Boo instead of "Japanese Bomb Pearl Harbor"! It wasn't long ago that that was the headline in all the papers around the world. With Veteran's Day coming this Thursday, it would be good if we think about the importance of our veterans and the sacrifices they have made throughout the years to give us the
