Are You Happy All The Time?
I have taken notice that no matter how well we have it, we sooner or later, will take on a bit of sad news, then before long another one, then another, until we find that we have not discharged our sorrows and life has become a bit more morose. But that being said, as Christians, we have One to whom we can go to help us with our sorrows. We reach back into our memories for a glimmer of hope from the Lord. It is such a good thing to know the Scriptures so we may have that help when we need a lift in our spirits.
The Apostle Peter tells us, "7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you," (1 Peter 5:7). It would be good it life didn't present us with trying times, but still they come. But again, when one considers life on earth without any cares, we would find that without challenges, we would not ever grow in understanding and empathy for others who also suffer. Surely the Lord is with us during all of our trials and troubles, for He does care for us, His creation.
4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away,” (Rev. 21:4).
Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
In fact, the Lord will never leave us not forsake us, according to Deuteronomy 31:6. "6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
These hurts we all face don't usually go away quickly, but there is real hope. Trust the Lord. He is with you even now in your deepest sorrow or regret.
