I Know What You're Worried About!

Sometimes we are so worried but we don't even know what worries us. We just have this anxiousness about us, and we can't seem to shake it.

The problem is we don't really belong here. We are only sojourners on the earth until our Lord calls us home. As we read Philippians 3:19, we see that like too many other people, we have our minds set on the temporary things around us. But we must admit, it would be hard not to notice when, like Daniel of old, the lions are circling around us. And they seem to circle us a lot these days!

But if we can be like Daniel and have total faith in God, He will see us through it, no matter what "it" is! If only we could recall the Scripture when our problems happen. "We eagerly await a Savior...the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body, (Philippians 3:20-21 paraphrased).

It seems that our faith, however, is like a wave on the water. It comes and goes. Sometimes it's strong, but not always. Oh, we wish it was always! If only we could bring our thoughts and lives to align themselves with Jesus. Then we could leave our worries and fears behind as we walk on the water of faith.
