Choose Ye Today Whom Ye Will Serve!
In Joshua 24, we read, "15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
This conversation happened when Moses had come down from the mountain with the two stone tablets containing the Law of the 10 commandments. When Moses returned from the very presence of the Lord on the mountain, he was confronted with a rebellious Hebrew people who had decided to melt all of the gold they had taken when they left Egypt into a golden calf, which they worshipped instead of worshipping our one true God.
We also must decide, and decide right now, whom we will serve. Will we serve the gods of the world with all their "liberties" such as abortion without restriction, sins which God has openly condemned and damned, freedom so free that no rule of law leads us to a point of chaos and anarchy, or will we choose to serve the God of Heavenly Creation who has made all that is good and decent?
It's your decision Christian. But you had better be careful how you choose. Eternity is without end.
