How Long Since Your Last Check-up?

I returned last evening from having a thorough check-up at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. As I approached the front portico, I noticed a sign which said, "Mayo Clinic Rated the Number One Hospital." Actually, I already knew it was number one- that's the reason I go there as opposed to other hospitals. Practically all hospitals are good hospitals. But Mayo is the one where they are on the cutting edge of knowledge and technology. If there is anything wrong with your health, they will discover it, and if it can be treated, they will treat it. That gives me great confidence in them. Everyone should have a check-up on their health annually.

But what about our spiritual health. If you want the number one spiritual doctor, where do you go? To Jesus, of course! We KNOW that! But believe it or not, most of our world has no idea of this truth. It is so sad when the largest part of our world's population goes to absolute spiritual "quacks"! Any other religion than faith in Jesus Christ is "spiritual quackery"!

There can be nothing worse for these people than to get to judgement to find there was an absolute cure for our sins, but instead of going to Jesus, they went to a dead Buddha, Muhammad, Hare Krishna, or other false gods. The missed an eternity with the one real God, because they honestly believed that a substitute god would do. So sad!

Actually, you and I are already signed up for service to the One true Savior- Jesus! Let help our fellow man by guiding him to the only One who can forgive sin and take to heaven for eternity- our Lord Jesus! He is not just the "best", He is the ONLY way to salvation!

Jesus said, "28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light,” (Matt 11:28-30).

Now that's a promise we can live with!
