How Do You View Your Life?

There are many ways to view our lives. Some see life as a straight line of events, one following another. Others may see life as being a collage of events either happening all at once, or perhaps some are happening as they decay to the past while other are currently continuing, yet others are in the infancy of their time, or maybe they are in the distant future but some of the things happening today will bring about their eventual birth in reality. I am not sure about time and reality and how these intersect, but I am sure of one thing; God is in control of all things!

When we think of God, we must consider His reality. God is apart from time although He created it. While speaking to God, Job said, "The days of a man are numbered," (Job 14:5a). God set the "numbering" process into action. This means that while we live on earth, we will have to continue to count our days. But again, God is outside of time, being in eternity where there is no time. With God, there is no past or future, only present. Maybe that is the reason Jesus said, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own," (Matt 6:34).

Jesus came to deliver us from this world of sin where there is a history we are held accountable for. If we don't repent of our sinful actions with complete faith in Christ, there is an event coming that will see the world judged, and those non-believers will be cast into hell where there is no time of ending of their suffering- only endless punishment. Don't go there! Trust in Christ today and be delivered from timeless suffering in hell! "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that who so ever believes in Him, should not perish (in hell) but have eternal life," (John 3:16).
